Funny how you just know when something clicks, feels just right, like you were meant to do it. As cheesy as it sounds that’s how I found my love for taking pictures. I credit my mom for buying a Canon AE1 Program, which I borrowed and never gave back, the rest is history. Well, I’m still writing that history.
It’s a dream job really, to earn a living making pictures for people. I’ve always loved collaborating on creative ways to use photography to tell stories. I’ve enjoyed great success over the years, thanks to the teamwork of countless creatives. The business of photography isn’t all about what the final image looks like, it’s deeper. It’s not rocket science but it does take a lot of listening, detailed planning, expert skill and above all else, should be fun! I’ve always been a hard worker and care about my projects and the people involved.
I’ve often been asked what I like to photograph. More often than not I say, “people”.
The truth is, I like photographing everything. Iv’e always had a passion for photography. It’s the curiosity of how lighting a certain product brings out texture or engaging with someone to pull some emotional moment out. There are always a million ways to make photographs and that is where the challenge lies. I love making little compelling bits of history.
I’m always looking out for inspiration, from my wife and kids to everyone I know and the world at large. Beauty is in the details and you just have to take a moment to see it.
When I’m not making pictures you can usually find me at airshows, concerts, occasionally cosplaying as a Jedi Master or tossing a ball with my boys and our dog Bentley.
Cheers!
